Puppet Theatre

Quite a few of you guessed correctly that the lemonade stand we showed on Monday was also a little puppet theatre. I have to say this has turned out to be such a fun project! Along with a puppet theatre and lemonade stand, Lillie has also turned it into a "Doctor's Office" and an "Ice Cream Shoppe". I will show you both of those at some point, but for now here is how it transformed into a puppet theatre. It was really quite simple - we just swapped out the signs (they are all on little nails which makes for super easy switching) and then added a little tension curtain rod and two little curtains and that was it - an instant puppet theatre. I will show you all the full tutorial on how to make the basic frame and then make it go from a lemonade stand to a puppet theatre once I have time to go through all the step by step pictures and write it out. Hopefully at some point in the next few days.

For now though, here are a few pictures of the puppet theatre:

We made little "posters" that said "Starring Lillian Annabel, the World Famous Puppeteer", and one with Lola's picture and name too, and then just popped them in frames from the dollar store.

Because the signs are all interchangeable I could put this one from the lemonade stand back on and just have "Puppet Show" written on the little chalkboard below.

I was very nicely informed that there were no photographs during "conformances" (what Lillie calls performances) so I didn't get any shots of any of the actual shows I have been ever so priveleged to watch...over and over and over.... =) But I did get a couple of Lillie showing me the stars of the show, the puppets. Our sweet little neighbor Chloe let Lillie play with some of her handmade puppets.

We moved the little ottoman over in front of the theatre to provide seating for the "audience".
I have a feeling our living room is going to be looking like this for a while now.

Thanks for stopping by!

And if you didn't see our lemonade pictures Monday here are a couple.

You can see a ton more lemonade stand pictures by clicking here.

I also wanted to let you all know we have restocked our "Hope is the thing with feathers..." Pillow Covers. They are available both individually and as a set

Have a beautiful Thursday! And don't forget there's still plenty of time to enter to win one of our growth charts in the post below!

Jamie and Josh's Christmas Dining Room and a SALE

I hope you are all having a wonderful week! Can you believe Christmas is just 11 days away? I normally am done with my Christmas shopping by the beginning of December but life has been so crazy this year I have only bought 3 or 4 gifts so far - ahhhh! That's not good news seeing how I have a large family. Haha!

Anyway, here are some shots of Jamie and Josh's dining room. Again, in here we just stuck with items they already had and added in some of the red ticking stripe fabric and fresh cut greenery. I was able to take the photos of their living room in good lighting but had to take the rest of the pictures when the lighting was pretty poor so these pictures are a little blurry but at least you can get the idea of what the room looks like.

They actually have a wing back chair that is going to go in that corner but it is being recovered right now so that little chair is filling the spot for the time being. I can't wait until the wing back chair is ready. I think it will look beautiful there!

I want to steal this sled! =)

I also wanted to let you all know that we have just a few Christmas items left in stock. They have all been discounted and now we are offering an
Just use the code Holiday25 when checking out.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

A Crown, A Sale and A Canvas Giveaway!

I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a busy but really lovely day here. First we had a wonderful meal at the Williamsburg Lodge down in Colonial Williamsburg with the team (the cupcake station where you got to pick your frosting and toppings and the hot cocoa were my favorites...the hot cocoa was heavenly!), then we had fun little birthday party for Lillie in the afternoon and after that my mom cooked us a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Needless to say, I am stuffed! And yes, I know, my poor mom had to travel and then cook the whole meal, but if you ever tasted something I cooked you would understand why my mom did the cooking. =)

I haven't been taking many pictures lately, but I made up for that yesterday and took tons and tons! I will share some of them on here soon. Maybe this weekend if I get a chance.  In the meantime here are a few of Lillie wearing the crown we made for her earlier this week using a mix of a tutorial by my friend Jessica and one by Bethany of the Betty. When I first saw the tutorial on the Joyfolie blog I stored away in my mind that it would be fun to make for Lillie's birthday. I showed Lillie the picture of Jessica's daughter Mia wearing it and Lillie thought it was beautiful but asked if we could make hers pink. I was planning on keeping it cream but we added some pink glitter instead. It was super easy. I just painted on coat of mod podge on the trim and then we sprinkled the glitter on and used the blow drier and then added three more cots of mod podge. After that we mod-podged it shut into a circle and let it dry overnight and it was ready to be worn the next morning!

And now that Thanksgiving is over, Black Friday is officially here! To be honest, I don't know that I have ever gone shopping on Black Friday. I am not brave enough to venture out. Haha! Although, I admire everyone who does make it out to snatch up all those deals, I have to admit I have become much more of an internet shopper. So, for all of you out there that like to purchase gifts online we are offering a big sale on all of our women's and children's thermals and sweatshirts!
