Beautiful photographs.....available as Cards and Prints!

Here are some of my wonderful little photographs.......I thought you would enjoy! I love doing photography......there are so many beautiful things to take pictures of. My father passed away several years ago and I told my mother that I really wanted to have something of my Dad's that was special to him.....to help me remember him. She gave me his digital camera. I was so touched because he loved taking pictures. So, now I have the joy of using his camera to make beautiful photography. Every time I use his camera, I think of him. It's really special to me. My father was a musician......he was a wonderful man, quiet but very sensitive and kind. He had polio when he was in his early twenties, before I was born. It was a long recovery for him but he got through it. He was also a wonderful composer and taught music in many different schools for years and years. I loved to hear him play the piano. He was a great musician. I miss him so much. I try to talk to him as often as I can. I do believe that you can talk to your loved ones who gone on before you......spirit to spirit. I hope you enjoy my photographs. I would love to hear from you!!
I love your wonderful comments. Isn't blogging great?!

Shops?

Hello dear friends......

I've put lots of new posts on my blog recently!! Be sure to scroll down and see all the new pictures and writings. I would love to hear from you if you care to write to me about what I've added.

Also, I was wondering if any of you could suggest any shops that you especially like......that is my favorite thing to do......go to lovely and unusual shops and just enjoy the beauty and inspiration.
Some of my favorite shops are "Nest" , "Tail of the Yak", "Bell'occhio" in San Francisco, "Burnt Sugar" in Seattle......there are so many others, but if you know any shops or galleries that are somewhat like these shops.....have the same kinds of unique and wonderful creations, I would be so happy to hear from you to know about them!!! I am so anxious to find some shops to go to.....
especially in the L.A. area or anywhere near here if its not too far away.

Thank you in advance!! Have fun!

Happy Day!

Today we had a friend put all of our information from our old computer onto our new laptop and finally we have all of our photographs of our art!!! I am so excited. Here are some of the photos!

The pictures are a little jumbled up......but maybe that's kind of fun.....

These are different little fairy chairs and beds I made and little scenes I photographed.

The pictures of me are fun; I'm not really good at having my picture taken, but these are ok.

And lastly, this is our beautiful cat Sasha, who we lost this year. My heart breaks whenever I see her. She was the most wonderful cat.....affectionate, funny and talked so much with her spirit. I miss her terribly.

I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Would love to hear from you! God Bless.

Opal Whiteley

Yesterday, an artist whose work I love so much, Katherine Dunn, told me about Opal Whiteley. I had never heard of her before but was so excited to find out something about her. Katherine said my artwork reminded her of Opal Whiteley's writings and sentiment. I thought that was so thoughtful and kind. It is always so wonderful when you are compared to someone who is appreciated and admired. It is so humbling and encouraging.

I started looking up on the internet about Opal Whiteley and was touched by her gentle spirit. She was very sensitive and had a deep love for nature and an amazing ability to understand the beauties and spirituality of nature......it's connection to God. I feel the same way. We can find God so closely in nature.....such beauty and loveliness.

I wanted to ask if any of you have heard of Opal Whiteley and if so, what do you know about her?? I am going to buy some of her books if I can find them and I am sure will be very moved by her writing. What I think is so terribly tragic however, is what happened to her later in life. Being institutionalized for her beliefs of being a princess......how can people be so cruel and misunderstanding?? I thought that was a very sad thing. I can relate to that very well because my great grandmother, who was from Germany and was a very gentle, sensitive soul, was put in a hospital and left there for 44 years as well. I am still trying to find her records to know more about her. I hope and pray that people will try more to be gentle to those who have sensitive spirits.

I hope you will see Katherine Dunn's website and blog. She is such a gifted, inspired artist!!

Try to find some beautiful flowers today and enjoy their beauty and little songs.

God Bless you.

The third card is of a wonderful little bed, very small.....a tiny bed for a butterfly.

The fourth card is of an incredible piece that I created......called "The Tetete". It is so elaborate. It is made of many beautiful flowers, leaves, mosses, branches and twigs.....it has a tiny table with a book on it.....which I wrote a wonderful story in, all handwritten.....and a tiny teacup. It is one of my most beautiful pieces.

The fifth card is of the unusual little chair called "Isabella Loved Paris".....it is truely one of my favorites.

The sixth card is of a very different sculpture of a lady with long beautiful hair.....the little object below her is a modern t.v. She is a very unusual lady......a poet, dancer, traveler and a mother of many little children.

The seventh card is of a pretty little canopy bed that I made.....it has pretty fabrics, velvets, flowers and other beautiful things. I love the blue of the water.

The last card is of a wonderful piece called "The Ballerina's Throne". I have made many versions of this chair...
it is another one of my favorites. I took ballet classes for many, many years so I am sure that has influenced my creations......I love to dance.
