Spring Ideas & Inspiration from the blogasphere - Food, crafts and more

1. Under The Table and Dreaming is a really sweet blog. Clearly a huge amount of research and time has been taken to put together a post with 65 Easter desert recipes from around the blogasphere. This really cute Easter cupcake below is just one of the recipes shared. If you click on the image or link below you can visit Under the Table and Dreaming and see what other delights are in this "mammoth" post. Both recipes below originate from Martha Stewart.

Another yummy Easter desert featured on Under the Table and Dreaming also a Martha Stewart recipe. It's a chocolate cake with crepe paper flowers, don't they look real! You wouldn't have to worry about falling petals though ☺

4. What a lovely Spring Idea or Easter present. Spray paint some empty food cans and plant with your favourite spring bulbs or pansies.  Please click "here" for link to Dos Families blog and more about how to create this cute pot plants.

5. Another cute idea, maybe not Spring but still using tins. Turn your small tins into fridge magnets to store pencils and such. A creative idea from Martha Stewart. Often you can buy sweets such as mini mints and cashews in these tins or even spices from India or little sample tins of teas such as these.

6. Love this easter egg idea, click "here" for instructions to make these really cute eggs by Pickles.

Hope your having a lovely weekend, its Palm Sunday today

Auction Purchase & Open House Spring Break

I hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to
a fun weekend.

The Open House party will be going on Spring break for a
few weeks.   I'll still be posting and visiting you, the party will
just be on a short hiatus.  I need a little breather and the time
to catch up on reading my favorite blogs, returning emails and
finishing some long overdue projects.  I'll be returning soon with
more beautiful homes to share and a fabulous giveaway!
.................

A couple of weeks ago I went to an auction liquidating the
inventory of a very expensive home decor shop.  I was the high bidder
on two beautiful Italian pottery pieces.  They still had the original price
of $395.00 each on them!  You all know I am  rather very frugal and
there was no way I would pay anywhere near that amount.
I filled one of the urns with seashells and a white sea fan from my Etsy
shop.  I know it is hard to tell in the photo but this piece is huge and weighs
a ton.  I can barely lift it even when empty.

The other urn is currently sitting empty awaiting some pretty plants.  We are
headed to the nursery tomorrow so I'll be back soon to show you the other urn.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs,
Sherry

Designer Spotlight: Rogers Design Group and a winner!

Good morning! So nice that its the weekend. We have a few things on the agenda but nothing crazy and I am looking forward to some relaxing time spent at home sans workers...woo hoo! Its suppose to rain today, so its a good day to catch up. We have a party to attend and I am always stuck with the dreaded "what to wear" dilemna, don't know if I have the energy to brave the crowds and go find something to wear. Oh well....guess its back to my boring but safe black dress! I have been very very busy this week with the online store. Its a lot of work, but its truly a labor of love. Getting emails and pictures from excited customers makes my day like you cannot believe. To hear how excited they are just makes ME so happy! So thank you...keep them coming! I am working very hard to get the orders out the door, and the first month no doubt there are small hiccups, but rest assured I am working hard and aim to please. I would like to announce the winner of the beautiful crystal hurricane candle, part of the new line I am carrying which I am super excited about, and apparently many of you are too!

Congratulations goes to............... Lillian!

Moving onto to the world of design.........I only discovered this talented design firm through a friend whose parents had their beautiful Florida family home decorated by this fabulously talented group. Then as I always do when I see something I love, I explored some more and quickly  realized this was a name worth sharing. I am sure some, perhaps many of you might already know of them but for me this was a new (and exciting) discovery! I think their sophisticated work speaks for itself so without further adieu...here we go! Would love to know what you think of their style! Click here to visit their beautiful website. Enjoy!

Baseball

It’s spring time in the South and y’all know what that means…baseball season is upon us!  Yes folks, on the days when I’m not at the ball field watching the PCP and his daddy practice and play, I’m at home trying to keep the littles from crashing a ball through my kitchen window or scrubbing red clay out of every article of clothing we own (your tips and tricks for this would be much appreciated.)  We’re a few games into our season and it’s shaping up to be another good one!

The PCP spends most of his time at third base, but I couldn’t resist sharing him at catcher.  Y’all know, that’s the position his daddy played for the Yellow Jackets in college!  (Is that hiney presh or what?!?)

John’s biggest hit of the night was not only a home run, but it also earned him the game ball!

There is nothing that makes me prouder than watching my boy try so hard at something he loves!

Honey's got the car packed up and we're hitting the road home.  Watch out Savannah...we should be there by lunch!!!
