Open House Party

Welcome to the Open House Party!

I appreciate everyone that joined the party last week, again you showed me what a
creative and talented group you are.  You'll find the link below to join this weeks
party but first enjoy the wonderful features below.

This beautiful bedroom belongs to Sonya at  Beyond The Screen Door.  Don't you

love the sign she made from a pallet?

Delores at  Vignette Design created this beautiful nature inspired table for her

husband and his fishing buddies. The plates are wonderful and perfect for the dinner!

Kristie at Market Nine Home  added this wonderful clock to her kitchen and talks about

accessorizing your home.  If you are not familiar with this beautiful blog you must drop by.

Don't you just love the colors in Carlene's Spring mantle?  Check out  Organized Clutter to

Open House Party

Welcome to the Open House Party!

This is the last day to enter the GIVEAWAY for a $50.00 gift of your

choice from Novica.

We had family visiting for the last seven days and they just left to

return to Orlando.  I especially enjoyed spending time with two of

 our adorable grandchildren.

Now I know why God gives children to young people... I am exhausted!

We have a really busy summer planned, including a trip to Destin  and

one to Orlando.  In July our grandson will be staying with us for two

weeks and we have lots of summer fun planned. In addition, we are still

trying to sale our house and just made a huge reduction in price..uuggh!

Hopefully, we will be moving this summer.

There is so much going on right now I have decided to put the Home Tour

on hiatus until Fall.   This part of the party is so time consuming it just makes

sense for me to put it on hold for a while.

The Linky party will still be held each week and I hope you will continue

to link to the Open House party.  I will be featuring some of my favorite

links from the previous week.

Thanks for your understanding and I am excited to see what you have to

On to the Linky party...

You Are The Best!

When I hit the post button for last weeks Open House party I was a

little nervous that no one would show up!   I was afraid being on my

blog break that many of you had moved on to other parties.

It was exciting to see so many of you visiting and linking up.  I know

you have many parties to choose from and I so appreciate you sharing

your post at the OHP!

Your friendship and support mean the world to me.

Open House Party

Welcome to the Open House Party.

If you are a regular reader of my blog then you know how much I love

transferware.  Today I am featuring a home that has the most beautiful

collection of transferware I have ever seen.

Nancy @ Nancy's Daily Dish and her family moved into their current home a little

less than a year ago.  To say the house was a total disaster would be an understatement!

The entire family has worked hard to repair and renovate the property and you can

check out her blog to see the before pictures.

Nancy's Daily Dish  is a blog full of gorgeous tablescapes, recipes and

stunning home design.  She generously shares her extensive knowledge

of transferware with her readers.  I have learned so much from Nancy

and she has been kind enough to answer a few questions for me on my

own pieces.

Enjoy the tour....

Gorgeous transferware in the master bedroom.

Children's bedrooms are below.

I couldn't let the tour end without showing you a few of Nancy's gorgeous tablescapes.

Have you ever seen a more beautiful Thanksgiving table?

I would love for you to visit  Nancy's Daily Dish and let her know you saw her home featured

at the Open House party.  Also, check out her Etsy shop for a fabulous collection of

transferware for sale.

Nancy, Thank you for sharing your beautiful home at this weeks Open House.

Now on to the Linky party...

Open House Party

Welcome to the Open House party!

I had a wonderful home for you to tour today.  Notice I

said "had".   For two days I worked on the party and

then and I ran into a glitch.  Some of the pictures would

not upload.   Rather than give you just a glimpse at this

fabulous home I have decided to wait and try to correct the

problem.  Hopefully we will be touring the home at next

weeks party.

I couldn't have the party without pictures so I will show you

Part Two of my last post  What A Mess .

Some of you guessed we had sold our home and we were packing for

the move.   Boy,  I wish this was true!  Unfortunately, no contract yet.

Those that guessed we were painting were correct.  Steve and I

decided to have the family room painted a neutral color that matched

the color in the foyer.  Though we liked the coziness of the khaki green,

we wanted to neutralize the room for selling the house.

>Before<

You will see there are less accessories and artwork.

The dark rug was removed and a sisal rug added in its place.

>After<

We put the window treatments left by the previous owner back up.

The room now looks much larger and brighter.  Keep your fingers

crossed for us that this helps with the sale.

I have a real treat for you today!

We will be traveling to Australia to tour the home of one of the most creative

ladies in blogging.  Kristine @ The Painted Hive admits to being an incurable

"Do It Yourselfer" and she blows me away with her talent and creativity.

I know you will agree when you see her beautiful home.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the tour....

Library card cabinet turned into a side table...genius!

Even the dog color coordinates with the room. Isn't he adorable?

Love the framed map.

Below are just a few of Kristine's amazing projects.

Chalkboard doors in the nursery...soooo cute!

You will have to check out this post to see how this curb find was turned

into a beautiful cabinet.

A lamp made from a music stand...fabulous!

This is just the tip of the iceberg of the many fabulous projects by Kristine.

I hope you enjoyed the tour and will stop by The Painted Hive  to see more.

Kristine,  Thank you for participating in the Open House party and allowing me
