November is Here!

I think November 1st (and yes, I am aware today is actually November 2nd...) is one of my favorite days of the year. I am not a big Halloween fan, although I have to say watching Lillie and Lola's excitement over dressing up and the way they have been obsessing over their candy is winning me over a teeny tiny bit. Lillie has been sorting hers for two days and playing endless games of waitress with it but oddly enough just finally had her first piece of chocolate today, and only ate a tiny piece of it. Lola on the other hand has been carrying her basket with her at all times. Literally, she has not let it out of her sight and only sets it down when she absolutely has to use that arm for something. I've taken about 30 pictures in the last two days just of her carrying upstairs, downstairs, into bed (don't worry, we didn't let her sleep with it!), in the car, etc. Trying to get her dressed and undressed while switching it from one arm to the other is entertaining. Fortunately she can't get most of the wrappers open so she hasn't had nearly as many pieces of candy as she would like to have had by now. So, although I am not much of a Halloween fan, I have been quite entertained these past few days.

The reason I love November 1st so much is that for me it is what I consider the beginning of the holiday season - Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Oh how I love Thanksgiving and Christmas and everything they entail! It gets me giddy just thinking about it!

Anyway, enough rambling. I just wanted to pop in remind everyone of our free downloads and let you know about two new items in our shop, as well as introduce a new sponsor.

First, here is our FREE November Download from last year by one of my favorite author's L.M. Montgomery (click on the image to bring you to our website where you can download the full PDF file):
Second, we wanted to let you know that our new blade arrived earlier this week and our Maple Leaf Cutouts are now available for purchase. They are sold in sets of six. You can punch a hole in them and string them to make a "give thanks" tree where you write something you are thankful on each leaf. Or you can use them for on cards, labels, or just about anything else you would like.

One of our best-selling items this season has been our Drummer Boy Cutout in Cream Set. We have been cutting away like crazy and still can't keep up. We will continue to be making the ivory (and will be adding a larger size as well!) and also thought we would introduce them in black today! And possibly in red later this month. They can be used for a multitude of things. You can frame them, hang them on your tree, accent gifts with them, etc. They will be available in two sizes. The smaller size which is available now and a larger size that will be available next week.

Here you can see the cream ones shown on a Christmas Tree:

And now, I want to tell you a bit about our November donation. For this month we are going to do something a little bit different. We will be giving a portion of each sale to a family but this time it is going to be related to Christmas and we are going to have you all write in to nominate a family. We still need to iron out a few details, though, so I will post more information once we get all of the details figured out, hopefully at some point this coming week.

I also wanted to introduce you all to one of our new sponsors,
They are a lovely little Etsy shop specializing in home decor and faux plants.

My favorite items are their storage boxes:

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sneak Peek of our 2012 Thanksgiving Download Collection

I had hoped to have our 2012 Thanksgiving Download Collection available tonight. I finally got everything photographed but still don't have it all sized and uploaded yet because I've had a sick little one so I'm a wee bit behind. I am hoping to get it finished up here late tonight and have it available tomorrow. In the meantime though I thought I would show you a tiny sneak peek.

I hope you all are having a wonderful Monday!

September Quote and the Johnson Family

Can you believe September is here? I hope you all are having a lovely labor day weekend! We've been pretty busy here changing things out for autumn and moving our dining room table out to the porch (after a not so fun time of stripping, sanding and repainting it - ugh!) and then building a new table for our dining room. I hopefully will have some time to take some photos soon of both the table and our fall accents. Right now it's not a whole lot different than last year so I am hoping I'll be able to get some things at the Farmer's Market today to help mix it up a bit. Also, we have officially been doing these monthly downloads for a year now. Here is September's from last year. I won't be doing new ones this year but I do plan on doing some seasonal ones. I just finished up the one for fall that I will share this coming week once I've printed and framed it.

Just click here or on the image below and it will bring you to the PDF file that you can download for FREE and then print at whatever size you would like!
Each month we donate a portion of each sale on our website a family/cause/organization in need. This month we will be donating to the Johnsons, a beautiful family from Sugar Land, Texas, who have just suffered an unthinkable tragedy. A few weeks ago, Pearlette Johnson and four of her and her husband's six children were traveling to Utah to pick up a missionary when they suffered a severe car accident on the interstate. The two youngest daughters, Tristen and Madeline, passed away on the scene. The third youngest daughter, Maegan, has been in critical condition ever since.Their cousins, Heather and Crystal, set up a website and held an online action last month to help with medical and flight-for-life expenses. Our hearts and prayers go out to this family.

Free August Download, Cozy Home Interiors and This Month's Donation

I just wanted to pop in with August's free download. With the addition of August we now have all 12 months available in our shop that you can download for FREE! Just click here or on the photo above and it will bring you to the page to download the full PDF file.

I also wanted to introduce you to our newest sponsor:

Cozy Home Interiors is run by Allison! For those living in the Dallas area she offers an array of services from design consultations to the fine art of curb appeal and also has a fun blog! Here is what she has to say about herself:

"Hi!! I’m Allison at Cozy Home Interiors. I started my blog, Cozy Home Interiors, about two years ago. I’ve been a design enthusiast my whole life. Growing up, I was always changing my room around, rearranging friend’s bedrooms, or organizing their closets. If I didn’t have hardwood floors and my parents weren’t as supportive, things might have turned out differently. Pushing furniture around was fun for me!

As an adult, it was only natural to follow my passion for interior design and start my blog, Cozy Home Interiors & Design Studio. When I first discovered blogging and got a sense for the visionaries behind their blogs, it inspired me to start my own blog, and begin to really start growing my design business. I knew I wanted to be part of the blogging community, gain inspiration through others with similar interests, share ideas, create, and hope to inspire some along the way, just like I’d been inspired."

And finally, as many of you know, each month a portion of every sale on our website goes to a family, organization or cause. This month a portion of each sale will be donated to the Amber Roussel Memorial Fund.

This is a photo of Amber's youngest two children.

 This is from the website:

"On July 30, 2012, Amber Roussel was tragically killed in a car accident on I10 in Beaumont, Texas. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Ryan, and three cherished children... Lauren, (12), Emmory, (3) and Ryan, (1). We cannot ease their heavy hearts, but we can try to relieve some of the inevitable financial burden of a little family suddenly without a wife and mother. Ryan travels extensively for work, and their children will need full-time care, at times around the clock. This will be no small need in the years to come. Amber was a beautiful soul and a generous spirit many grew to love, no matter the distance between many of us. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered."

My heart just breaks thinking about this family and they are in my prayers!

Free July Download

Just popping in real quickly to say Happy Sunday! It's been a bit of a zoo here the past couple of days so I am running a bit behind on posts, but I just wanted to make sure to give you the link to our free July download. I have it printed out and in our living room and will try to take a picture today and add it in this post. And I am hoping I will be able to take some photos of the Fourth of July decorating we did yesterday so I can post that tomorrow along with a download for that as well.

Click here  or on the image below to download the PDF file that can be printed at any size.

Have a blessed Sunday!

Free June Download and Alice Hansen

I hope you all are enjoying June so far! Oh how I love this time of year! We are off to the farmer's market this morning and hopefully will be having a little lemonade stand this afternoon. We had planned on doing it yesterday but it rained pretty much all afternoon and evening. Oh well, hopefully we will have better luck today. Lillie is quite excited about it!

Just click on the picture below or here and you will be able to download it for free!

I also wanted to introduce this month's family that we will be contributing a portion of every sale on our website to. I read this story a few weeks ago and it absolutely broke my heart. Heidi over at Honeybear Lane shared about her beautiful and amazing sister-in-law, Alice Demske Hansen who passed away shortly after giving birth, leaving behind her husband, two young sons and her newborn daughter. Please keep this family in your prayers! You can visit Heidi's blog and read more about Alice and her family by clicking here.

We also ask you all to keep last month's family, the Voelkel's in your prayers as sweet little Lily who went home to be with Jesus on May 14th.

Free May Download and a Winner

Because of Jon's job, I often travel without him. I have flown alone with the girls before, but this trip to NH and back was my first time driving alone with them for more than a three or four hour drive. Let me just say it was quite the adventure! We made it, though! Whew! We are getting settled back in and last night I was able to get just about all of the photos from Lola's party edited and sized. I will get the text written tonight so I can post it tomorrow. Seeing how today is May 1st, though, I thought I would at least make sure to post May's free download. You can click here or on the picture below to download the full PDF file.

Also, Congratulations to Meagan Stansbury for winning the $75 London Reid Gift Card!

And don't forget there you still have today and tomorrow to use the Dear Lillie discount over at London Reid.
Just use the code DL30 for 30% off your order!

See you tomorrow!

Two New Easter Downloadable Prints and a New Paisley Pillow

I am so excited! Jason has gotten some of our new equipment put together and we are one-step closer to being able to produce much larger quantities than before and to finally be able to actually start producing some different types of products that have been in the idea stages for months and months! It is probably not going to be until summer that we have everything really working but I am so excited about all of the possibilities now that we are in the much larger workspace.

In the meantime I have finished decorating for Easter at our house. I took tons and tons of pictures yesterday but only had time get a couple ready for a post last night. I thought I would show you this little mirrored chest and the two new Easter downloadable prints. Hopefully tomorrow I will get some more pictures done and will show you some of the Easter eggs we made over the weekend and how we used them in our dining room. And I hope to have a step-by-step post on how we made some of our eggs as well as pictures of our whole downstairs. If only there were a few more hours in each day... Oh well, I will post them as I make my way through them all.

This Easter download is available in our shop in this color, as well as one with a touch of pink.

And this one is available in both this purple color:

Along with this more neutral color:

And although it doesn't really go with this post, I thought I would mention we have a new Reagan Pillow Cover now available in a pretty blue paisley print!

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday! I can't wait to show you some Easter eggs - hopefully tomorrow!
