hi everyone......it's such a beautiful day here. we've had such odd, warm weather. they say that it's the dryest month ever in utah. we just got back from washington (state). it was so beautiful and GREEN!!!! i miss it already. we love utah but terribly miss washington and oregon. we went to see my mom who lives on the coast in an old house (100 years old). it's very rustic, like an old lodge. she has always collected antiques ever since i can remember and her house is filled with so many beautiful things. we had a wonderful time.
i posted these pictures because i love children and i thought the new year should have pictures of children to start this new time off with a smile, a grin, a giggle and a silly laugh. hope you have a fun year and a fun day!

Between Christmas and New Year’s Eve…
First of all I want to thank everyone for all the lovely Christmas Wishes I received! So nice reading all of these nice words and wishes!
I do hope that you all enjoy a wonderful Holiday time!
Tomorrow Jan’s daughter Nele and her family will arrive to spend some time with us. So we are preparing their stay.
We will celebrate New Year’s Eve together! So we are looking forward to their arrival.
I might think we will spend a lot of time gathering around the fire place and watching Alexa and Tristan open their presents which are still under the Christmas tree. And we will certainly go for a walk in our neighbourhood, do some horse riding,…etc.
And yes of course we will prepare a wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner!

My last blogpost of this year is dedicated to all of you !
My dearest readers, followers, blogfriends and blogcolleagues, I would love to thank all of you for this wonderful year, joining me at Belgian Pearls.
This year I met so many new readers and blogcolleagues, and a lot of you became real friends! It is amazing how many lovely people I learned to know through blogging!
Starting my blog, I never could have imagined that meeting all of you, would have such an impact on my life!
All those sweet and lovely comments on my posts, all these emails I received from you, were to me a huge support and motivation to go on with my blog!
‘Belgian Pearls’ wouldn’t be of any meaning without all of you!
I do hope that even in 2011, I will be able to bring you blogposts you will love and enjoy! I promise to do the best I can to not disappoint you!
I also want to make my apologies to all the people amongst you, who have sent me an email on which I have not answered yet! Sometimes I am so busy with my job and my family (I am also a wife and a mum, you know !), that I really don’t find enough time to blog or to answer all my emails!
We are only a few days away from a new year, and the next two days I will have to prepare everything for New Year’s Eve because we have our family to join us. So there are still a few things to do!
This post will be the last one of this year.

It is time to bring a special thank to all of my bloggerfriends and readers!
I want to thank all of you for the support you have given me the past months writing my blog!
I feel so honoured to have met so many wonderful, interesting people among my blogger colleagues and readers!
To me it was a huge adventure starting my own blog and I had no idea that I was going to meet such a wonderful, lovely people as you all are! You are from all over the world, from Canada to South-Africa!
You all have given a new dimension to my life. The new energy that I felt by starting my blog and meeting all of you, was enormous! I want to thank you so much for that!
I hope that you all will stay present the next year! I promise to do my best to bring you more interesting posts in future!
