Market Photos

Just a quick post to show you some photos of  Luckett's Spring Market.  We had a
great time and we were even able to sneak in a trip to visit Restoration Hardware
and the Pottery Barn outlets and a couple of other antique malls.

I still have to photograph the items I bought so I'll post those later.  The market was wonderful this year though very crowded.  The only complaint I have is there were a large amount of HomeGoods type reproductions and the same ones seen over and over again in many of the booths.  Last years market had some wonderful European antiques that were missing this year.  I wonder if all
the reproductions are because of  the weak dollar in Europe and the high cost of shipping.

Overall it was a great market with lots of beautiful things. I did get to spend a few minutes with Marian of  Miss Mustard Seed  and her mother.  Marian and I had met for the first time last year at Lucketts. She was one busy lady on Saturday and I am happy to say that she had a very successful weekend at the market.

First are pictures of Lucketts Store which is open year round.

I wanted to take all this bedding home with me!

Because of the crowds I was not able to get many pictures of the actual market
but this will give you a taste of what was there.

I hope to see you at the
Open House Party
starting every Wednesday evening.

Take care,
Sherry

I'll be joining the party at  Savvy Southern Style.

Antiquing We Go!

Hello everyone!

Tomorrow we leave for Leesburg, Va. to shop Lucketts Spring  Market.  This place is heaven with all the  shabby, rusty, euro country and lots of burlap and lace.  We are going a day early to visit Lucketts Store and several other antique shops before the crowds arrive.

Last year was so much fun and I found lots of cool stuff.   I hope this year to find some great things
 for my new Etsy Shop

Below are a few pictures from last year's market.

Loved the Chandys. They sold quickly.

Miss Mustard Seed's shop.

I have closed my antique business and I am selling on Etsy exclusively now.  Once we make the move to
Orlando I will probably venture back into having a shop or renting space in an antique mall.  I do want to say thank you to those that have visited my Etsy shop and to those that have made a purchase.

Thank You!

For you Country French lovers I have a wonderful valance in the shop. The valance was custom made
using Pierre Deux fabric.  How I wish I could have used it in this home.

There will be some exciting things happening at No Minimalist Here in late June.  It is hush hush for now but I can tell you it involves LOTS of giveaways!

I appreciate your visits and I always love to hear from you.
xo,
Sherry

Beginning Of Our Weekend + Giveaway

Last Friday as we pulled into Leesburg Hubby asked if I wanted to get checked into the hotel.  My response was Nooo,  I want to go to Lucketts Antique Store.   What an amazing shop, beautiful items for sale and gorgeous displays. The shop owners organize Lucketts Antique Fair and  they do an excellent job. Take a look at the pictures below and tell me if you agree that this shop is wonderful.

Aren't these steps wonderful? I wonder if they are original.

I would have loved to bring this pine shelf home with me...

and this clock!

And my favorite thing of all.... one very, very patient Hubby. Even after I went through the store and grounds three times.  Here he is giving me that look.... Love ya hon!

If you haven't entered my two giveaways you can enter #1 here for the flatware caddy and silver.

Giveaway #2 is a stamped pendant with chain. Enter here

Thanks for stopping by,
xoxo

Return From Antique Market

Drop me in a spot with shabby chic, euro country, burlap, wicker and rust and I am in heaven! That's exactly what I found at Lucketts Antique Market  this weekend. I also got to meet the brains and talent behind one of my favorite blogs... Marian @  Miss Mustard Seed.  Unfortunately our picture together did not turn out. I did get some pictures of her space though.

I did buy some pieces at the market, though not as much as I anticipated.  I'll be showing pictures of my goodies in a later post.  In the meantime here are pictures of the market. Enjoy!

This photo and the one above are of Miss Mustard Seed's space.

I believe both of the chandeliers sold.

See the stack of wicker and zinc plates?  I could kick myself for not buying some when I first saw them.  I came back about an hour later and they were all gone!

I loved the benches covered in burlap. They had sold quite a few by the time I got around to taking pictures.

This ruffled piece of heaven is a shower curtain! I would have loved to see it hung.

I'll have more pictures to share with you tomorrow.  Have a great evening and take care.
Hugs,
Sherry

Luckett's Here We Come

Good evening ladies.

Tomorrow morning we leave for Luckett's Antique Market. This is my first visit to this show and I am excited to see what I can find for the shop...and maybe a little something for myself. Who am I kidding! For everything I buy for the shop I normally buy two things for me. I know Miss Mustard Seed is a vendor there as well as several other bloggers. It should be a lot of fun and I hope I will have lots of goodies to show you next week.
