Lorelei's Toddler Bed - Part 1

Lola's crib is now up in Jamie and Josh's nursery waiting the arrival of their little girl. We had planned on Lola moving into Lillie's room once she was done with the crib but we tried it several times and it didn't go so well so we decided to put her back in her room and build her a little toddler bed. Because I figured she wouldn't sleep in it long I designed it so I could add a tufted back and turn it into a little mini-sofa/daybed for the girls when the time came and we could turn this room into a little bit of a playroom for them (although we also have the full sized bed in here seeing how it also functions as our guest room and it's not a very big room it will be a bit squishy). Well, guess what? She slept in it great for a couple of nights and then things went downhill and she decided she was ready to sleep in with Lillie and sure enough the last week they've been sleeping in there together! So - all that work for two nights in this bed - ahhh! Haha - oh well, I will be turning it into a little sofa/daybed hopefully this week or next and will share pictures once it's done and I also will have a tutorial for both this little bed and the sofa.

We have these little bunny silhouette pillows now available in our shop! They are perfect for Easter and also for a children's room!

And yes, I know that with the crib gone the silhouettes are now randomly in the middle of the wall =). They are coming down once I make the bed into a daybed because I have something else I am going to put above it that I am excited about!

Good thing I took some pictures the first day. =)

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Lola's Christmas Nursery

Thank you all for your kind words about our Christmas Tour on Monday. It's been so much fun checking out the other homes that have been featured so far and I am looking forward to seeing all of the new ones today!

Now that I've finished sizing and watermarking a bunch more of the photos I took last week I thought I would start showing you more details of our Christmas decorating. Today I will show you Lorelei's room.  I added a hat to Winnie the Pooh that I wore when I was a baby (and probably my siblings all wore it too!) and then Lillie and Lola have each worn it over the past few winters. The little scarf was a gift from Jon's parents. The noel sign (above) is from Icing Designs. I will have a tutorial for the yarn trees up soon!

You can see more of the room in this shot:

My mom made these stars for Lorelei's room last year and I hung them on her tree and then later from the ceiling in the corner. I decided to try them in the window this year seeing how we didn't put up a tree in her room this year and I think I like them better here!

Lillie and Lola were busy "baking" for me while I was taking these photos.

And before I sign off I thought I would let you know that we will have a new pillow available in our shop tonight!

And lastly, congratulations to Sandi! You have won your choice of Lynch Creek Farms wreaths! We will send you an e-mail later today.

 Thank you all for entering!

Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Lola's Room for Fall and Winner of the Wreath

Lola's room was the easiest to add some autumn touches too. The color scheme of her room makes it simple to add pretty much any seasonal elements to it without worrying about things clashing. For her room I used the wheat wreath by Meagan, some white pumpkins, fresh hydrangeas, some feathers, a tall bundle of branches and our give thanks pillow.

Here's the little swing from her birthday party:

On the other side of her room I just added a wreath I got at Pier 1 several years ago and a faux white pumpkin on top and a real one on the shelf (the ones on the dresser are both real).

Michelle was so sweet and sent us this miniature carriage!

It's almost identical to the one I got Lillie at an antique mall several years ago and have shown here on the blog several times including this photo of Lillie:

And in Jamie and Josh's pregnancy announcement  photos:

After I was done taking my photos I realized it was a little too busy looking so I removed one of the pumpkins and I do think it looks better.  I wasn't about to retake all the photos, though! Haha!

We had planned on listing some stockings tonight but I haven't finished editing the photos. Hopefully we will have them ready to go at some point tomorrow.

Also, we wanted to congratulate Pam on being the winner of our Custom Wreaths by Meagan Giveaway:
Meagan will be in touch with you to finalize the details!

I hope you all are enjoying October so far!
