Shabby Girl (Bedroom)

Hey everyone!!

Our youngest daughter’s 10th birthday has come and gone.  For her birthday, Faith asked for a complete bedroom redesign.  Oh yes, you know that I was happy to oblige.  I was especially happy when she told me that she wanted to use pink and whites, ruffles, and even some “clean” vintage things.  Both of my daughters like some vintage but they don’t like dirty vintage.  They like clean old stuff and that’s okay with me.  I will keep the old dirty pieces for myself and be very happy with them.

Here is what we did in her new 10 year old shabby room.

We took her old room from a bright bluish green with polka dots to Spring Bloom pink.

We bought a duvet cover that is nothing but ruffles.

We changed out white wooden lamps with a new lamp dripping with “crystals”.

Faith convinced me that Lola belonged in her room now and not in the guest room.

Let me just show you some photos of her new room.

**  The lighting is not so great in her room, so the pink walls look different in some of the pictures.  The true color is pretty bright.

Have you ever seen so many ruffles?

Faith loves her new room.  She loves all the ruffles.  She loves that Lola is now in her room.  She loves all the pink.

Mom loves it too.
