Atlanta parrotheads united at Lakewood to spend a day tailgating and cocktailing in festive anticipation of Jimmy Buffett taking the stage last night. It’s a revered and not to be missed tradition in this family – I think I’ve only been absent from two shows in my eighteen years (gasp!) in Atlanta.
With sangria, margaritas and “Chef D-Flay” cookin’ up cheeseburgers in paradise, we had a rollickin’ good time with a group of dear (and sorely missed) friends from our old neck of the woods…
…and we spent the night dancing in our bare feet and singing a the top of our lungs to Buffett’s iconic beach music. Much to my extreme delight, Zac Brown took to the stage twice during the night. (The real ZB, not his doppleganger that had me all in a tizzy at last year’s tailgate.) I mean, it just doesn’t get any better than Brown and Buffett in my book!!! Such a treat!!
