~Heather Cameron~

Feast your eyes on the lovely work of the Prop stylist Heather Cameron! I really like her work. Oh, this week has been so crazy. My little boy had to get glasses. Poor thing! But he looks so cute in them. We have also been painting his room and cleaning the bedroom carpets, so it's been busy busy around here.

Wonderful News!!! We have opened our own gallery!!!

After being artists for 21 years, we have finally opened our own gallery!! We are so thrilled!! I don't know why it has taken us so long, but we are finally at that path that we have dreamt of so often. To have a place of our own to share our beautiful art with others!! I still am amazed when we open the door and there in front of us are all of our beautiful paintings, sculptures, fairy furniture and houses and little characters there waiting for us, as if to say......here we are!! Now everyone can visit us and enjoy the beauty we love to share!!

I hope you will visit our new gallery if you live in Utah or are visiting in Utah. We are on Pierpont Avenue, which is a very unique area with shops, galleries, architects and designers offices and other great businesses. It is one very long building with all the businesses there, one after the other. It is near the Gateway Mall and many other up-scale restaurants, shops and businesses. It's a great area.
We are also going to be giving children's art classes there, too!! We are very excited about that!! We'll be teaching how to make our wonderful fairy furniture, fairy houses and little people and also painting, sculpture, collage and other great classes. Contact us if you're interested in our classes for children.
So excited. Miracles do happen.
Here is the information about our gallery and our children's classes:
(Our gallery name is:)
Marcel and Florette's Curious Menagerie
351 West Pierpont Ave.
Salt Lake City, Utah
801-864-4718
Our children's classes are two hours long; we provide the materials and tools and they are $25 per child for the two hour class. We will be giving our Fairy Furniture classes weekdays and Saturdays; times: Weekdays: 12:30 to 2:30 and 3:30 to 5:30; Saturdays: same times or we can arrange for earlier or later times as well.
These will be absolutely wonderful classes; the children that we have taught before were so thrilled and excited about learning this wonderful, beautiful art!
Hope you'll call us to sign up for a class soon!!

An Amazing Day!! A New Future!!

Such a historic, wonderful, sacred day!! Our beautiful country, America, seems touched with a new light, a new heart and hope and a feeling of brightness and joy!! How my soul is touched with almost a childlike excitement and anticipation of the future! I am filled with such gratitude for this day, when the people of our country have so much closeness and comfort with each other, that there is this deserved appreciation of each other.

I pray that we will all work together in being prayerful for President Obama and his family and all the people who will work with our new President, that we will have positive and supportive feelings and thoughts for them......as the work they do is perhaps more difficult than any other work done in the behalf of others. I hope that all people will be prayerful for his safety and protection and and the strength that he will need to govern and lead our county. I am so happy that our country has a leader who will lead with honour and morality and sensibility.

A day that we will all remember and cherish.

poem......

a quiet walk. thoughts falling back to gentle and sweet memories.

trees, whose voices speak to me in a silent language, stand

tall

and amazing

and beautiful.

winter has a voice so quiet and peaceful, as it blankets it's soft and white delicate drops of life

onto dry lands

and saddened hills.

it's history is from far away, delicate and beautiful as well.

children walk in the snow as if they have known it forever.

i wait for the summer sun, but beyond the hills of snow is the image of myself

playing in a beautiful white wonderland, years ago,

talking to the little birds, their sweet voices are like angels

to me.

~Crochet Lampshades~

Look at these very neat and unique assortment of vintage doilies used to create a beautiful light shade that brings to mind a handpicked garden bouquet. Oh, I just love them! They may not be everone's style but I think they are oh So pretty! I am not exactly sure but this seems like somewhat of a easy project to me that could possibly be done yourself. So, I might try to find me some vintage dolilies this summer at a yard sale and make me a nice and new lampshade. Oh, I am getting excited! I found these beauties on Etsy so if you want to check out more then click HERE
