Out With the Greens, In With Some Reds and Blues

Hey everyone!

I told you in a recent post that I was trying to warm things up a little in our home.  I am moving out some of the blue greens for awhile and bringing in little bits of red and blue.  Not much of the red and blue…just a smidge.  (am I the only one who thinks smidge is such a fun word to say?)

My favorite things right now to decorate with are natural woods, whites, metals, burlap, vintage linens, with some red and blue thrown in here and there.

I think those are great elements going into fall and winter. Yes, I am very much thinking about fall.

A friend and I played around a little with my farm table yesterday with all of those thoughts above in mind.

I also just went on the Endless Yardsale with my son this weekend and picked up a couple of pretty cool things that I wanted to add to my living room.

This old rusty little oven was one of my favorite finds on the HWY 127 yardsale.  (really not sure what it’s specific purpose was, but it had a thermostat and racks in it)

I also found a load of these old feed, soap,  and sugar sacks for .25 each.

I am on the hunt for quilts now.  My mom has given me several, but the one on top came from the yardsale.   Most of my other quilts are stacked up on an old cabinet in my bedroom.  Depends on the color as to which room they end up in.

What fun it is to change things up a bit and bring in some different colors.  I do have lots of the blue green though so it will probably come back out in the spring and summer.  We’ll see.

Hey, don’t forget the GIVEAWAY that I am hosting for a friend of mine.  Be sure to check it out.

Have a great rest of your week.

Linking up over at the beautiful Faded Charm for her White Wednesday.
