Sliding doors

The use of sliding doors could be a good solution for a possible lack of space in your home and barn sliding doors add a rustic touch to your home.

I Love {Alison Evans Coastal Ceramics}

Artist Alison Evans creates the most swoon-worthy, sea inspired ceramics.  Each unique piece is hand molded, hand glazed and totally gorgeous.
After falling in love with bestie R's Alison Evans oyster plates, I started a collection of my own abalone and tortoise plates Christmas before last.  Since then, Honey has been a doll and slowly added to it for various occasions (Valentine's Days, birthdays, Christmases), and then I rounded it out with a few more choice pieces on my recent jaunt down to New Orleans.  I finally pulled them all out of the bowels of the closet and set to work incorporating them into my den decor.
Now, I'm dying to get my hands on a few in bone white.
I do have a birthday coming up, after all!!
xoxo

Which would you choose?

Hi all...another post I prepared in advance, thankfully I had the gumption to think ahead as my brain has turned to mush lately:) I think the most exhausting part of the move is over and I am pacing myself and taking it slow, thanks so much for all of your kind comments, emails and messages! Its great to be home!! (and yes to many of you who asked I do have help, thanks)!

Well hello there! By now you know the drill...I set up a little scenario and you get to ponder and think about which one room you would most love to be in and would suit you best. Remember how everyone moved out to the patio from "that party" to carry the party outdoors? Well, its in full swing and there is no end in sight! In fact all those inside have decided to join you. Its a beautiful night under a clear moonlit sky but its getting nippy so your darling hubby suggests lighting a fire in the outdoor fireplace and roasting marshmallows....what a guy!! So.....you know what to do, pick your outdoor fireplace seating room! This is not an easy feat as there are so many lovlies here, good luck. Can't wait to see what you choose. I have my eye on two, and will be happy as a smores to be in either one of them!
Here we go....

WARNING- Proceed with caution and at your own risk. Viewing these has been known to induce SDTMS (Sudden desire to make smores)!!

Tough choice, don't you think? I can't wait to see who the big winner is though there is truly something fabulous about each and every one. I would be thrilled to be in any of them hanging out with friends and family until the wee hours of the morning! Now its your turn tell me which would you choose? Have a marvelous day!

Flea Market and Etsy Finds and Where They Are Now

Hey guys!  Hope you are all great!!

I was able to go to the Nashville Flea Market this weekend and despite the rain and not many vendors, I still was able to find a few new treasures.

Several of the things I found will go into my etsy shop, but of course, some will make there home here in my house.

nine

I know I am going a little crazy with the number 9, but I just can’t help myself when I find one.  I love the size of this one!  For now, it is tucked nicely under my kitchen cabinet.

box 5

Be still my heart…I found this beautiful blue/green chest that is perfect to hold our school books in the dining room.  All of our stuff just hides away in here so nicely.

carrier 5

This great wooden carrier was a last minute find.  Love it holding my beautiful blue bottles.  But, alas, it is headed for my Etsy Shop.  I just really don’t need anymore totes.

carrier 9

Last, but not least, I bought my beautiful new European Grain Sack table runner from a gorgeous etsy shop, Jamie Kay

carrier 7

I love this runner on my table and love the beautiful New Zealand shop I bought it from.

Speaking of shops…I am really trying to head in a new direction with my shop.  I would love to be able to show you how you might could use some of the items that will be for sale.   I know that presentation is huge and I want to present my items well.  I want to give you good ideas that you could use in your home.

I have so much fun shopping with all of you in mind and setting things up that I think you might like.  I hope you will enjoy some of the new things I am doing.

Ok, friends, I am off to see who wins America’s Next Great Baker.  Can I just tell you how much I want one of those cakes?  I am such a dessert freak.

Have a great rest of your night, friends.

Fantastic movie!

absolutely can't wait to see this!!!

White & Romantique Swedish styled Interior

This unusual Grade 2 listed ground floor flat in West Sussex in Hove is full of unique features such as the trompe loeil angel wall painting, an amazing 1800's sleigh made into a sofa and many other beautiful pieces of  authentic Swedish furniture. If you love white interiors and shabby chic you will love this home, although I hesitate to use the word "shabby Chic" as this interior goes way beyond this and is in a class of it's own.  The location is available for film shoots/magazine/styling use, please contact jj locations at the link below if you are interested to see more photos or wish to make an enquiry for filming.
